Project Details Catalyst EMEA 2025 Website

Since many people in the region weren’t yet familiar with Partnership Leaders or Catalyst, the site needed to do more than just look good—it had to clearly communicate the value of the event and address common attendee questions.

At the start of the project, the website was extremely pared down—so minimal, in fact, that it wasn’t likely to support the client's goal of driving ticket sales. To help align on what was needed, I created a presentation comparing the current site content to that of other successful global event websites. I also had ChatGPT run research on event website best practices, so I knew which modules to push for, to make the site most effective.

Here are just a couple of slides from the client presentation:

Next, presentation outlined ways to draw inspiration from the strongest modules across those reference sites—and suggested how they could be adapted for Catalyst EMEA.

How do we put it all together2

Simplifying and Breaking Up Content

Before:

As you can see below, one of the sections from the original site had content that was so dense, it was hard for visitors to quickly understand the key messages. The lack of clear structure made it difficult to scan or take action.

After:

I reorganized the content so each section had a single, clear focus. For example:

  • One section introduces the event

  • Another speaks directly to “Who Should Attend”

  • The original black pricing block was split into distinct sections for Early-Bird and Regular ticket options

The Final Webpage

I built the final site directly in their CMS, Zuddl. Like many custom site builders, it came with some limitations—but with a bit of creative problem-solving, I achieved a polished, flexible result.

The site delivered detailed event information and included modular sections that could be toggled on or off as the event approached (for example, hiding the “Become a Sponsor” section once all slots were filled). And, it included lots of photos from previous events, to give visitors an idea of what the experience would be like.

Ultimately, the new site positioned Catalyst EMEA as a professional, high-caliber experience from the first click—and gave the team the confidence they needed heading into launch.

Results:

The new site quickly started doing its job—ticket sales saw an immediate uptick after launch. The team also used the email and social media templates I created in Canva to help drive traffic and build awareness. Stakeholder feedback was extremely positive.

One unexpected (but welcome) result: the person handling attendee inquiries reported a significant drop in questions, since the site now clearly addressed key event details.

At the time of writing, the event is still two weeks away—and already 80% sold out.
